V-Rake Rear Steering
Elsworth Engineering are now offering the option of hydraulic opening, rear steering and “quickfire” hydraulic splitters V-Rakes.
Rear Steering
The rear steering is a “close circuit” hydraulic system that involves two cylinders, one on the dolly and one on the steering mechanism at the rear. When the front cylinder (master cylinder) moves the rear cylinder (slave cylinder) responds thereby moving the steering arm that operates the rear castors. This system is simple and fail safe as there are no knuckle, shafts or uni joints to fail.

Quickfire Hydraulic Splitters
The splitters have been engineered so that the operator only has to remove the locking pin and turn the splitters to working position to set up. The Quickfire hydraulic splitters have a double acting cylinder to raise and lower the reels. The reels do not have to be removed when in the transport position.
Elsworth Engineering are now offering the following options
- Hydraulic splitters
- “Quickfire” Hydraulic splitters
- Dual front castors
- Rear steering
- Dual rear castors
